We started baker miller after seeing the lack of contemporary, high-quality, sustainably made plus-size options in the marketplace. After working in the fashion industry, we know how difficult it is to find beautiful clothes that fit, flatter, and work for busy lives. Currently, the women's plus-size market is filled with disposable fast-fashion clothes that chase the latest trend or frumpy designs that hide the body. There aren't enough high-end and chic options available.

We hear you. We have asked many curvy women about their needs and wants with their clothes. There are common themes in the feedback. You want dresses that show off the waist. Dresses that are flattering but don’t have constraining necklines. Hem lengths that are not too long or too short. We’ve incorporated that information into our designs. All our garments are fit and refit on real women until they’re right.

WE USE ECO-FRIENDLY, LUXURIOUS FABRICS

We take fabrics seriously. The materials we use have a bit of stretch for comfort. These fabrics are soft, breathable, and move with you, making you look and feel beautiful. Our fabrics are strong, with good weight, so our dresses can be worn across seasons. Most of our fabrics are made of sustainably produced Lenzing™ Viscose or Modal fibers using pulp made from renewable wood sources.

SoCal’s incredible diversity – the many cultures, landscapes, and creativity that define this region - inspired our use of vibrant colors and bold prints.

OUR CLOTHES ARE MADE-TO-ORDER

At every step of our process, we strive for minimal environmental impact. We produce one-at-a-time to keep fabric waste and inventory low. That means no overproduction and no excess. We can accomplish this by partnering with our state-of-the-art factory in Arizona, which specializes in an eco-friendly and on-demand production model. The final product is an exciting, special, and limited-edition garment made just for you.
